Game Mechanics and Payouts
Orbit Sum uses two independent pointers that each draw a number from 0 to 6 uniformly. The results are added together and taken modulo 7. You select an arc of 1, 2, or 3 positions starting at zero. If the final result falls within your chosen arc, you receive a gross return of 6.72x, 3.36x, or 2.24x respectively. Any result outside your arc returns zero. The expected return is 96% across all modes.
Stakes and Settlement
Stakes are fixed at 10, 25, 50, or 100 virtual coins, with 25 as the default. The stake is deducted immediately at the start of a round and persists even if you exit. Gross returns include your original stake. Payouts are calculated in hundredths, with fractional carry saved separately. Whole coins are credited, and the remainder is kept for the next round.
Wallet and Controls
The demo starts with 1000 virtual coins. You can manually refill when the balance drops below 10 coins, setting the balance to 1000. This is a manual reset, not an addition. If you reload the page, any unfinished round is discarded without refund or resume. Controls are disabled while a round is active. The game requires no account, but uses localStorage for balance.
Frequently asked questions
Does reloading the page refund my stake?
No. Reloading discards the unfinished round without refund or resume. The stake remains deducted.
What happens to fractional payouts?
Fractional hundredths are saved separately. Only whole coins are credited to your visible balance, with the remainder kept for future rounds.
